The Work of Byron Katie and Deep Restful Bodywork

Tammy Reid is a Facilitator and Bodyworker, who works in private practice in Coffs Harbour offering individual consultations, group workshops and training.

It is Tammy’s desire that everyone experience a more peaceful world inside and out. In 2016 she founded, Doing What Works to share methods for Peace of Mind and Self-Realisation.

For the Mind

Tammy facilitates an Inquiry-Based Stress Reduction process, known as The Work of Byron Katie. Tammy has made The Work of Byron Katie an integral part of her life and living. She first experienced The Work of Byron Katie in 2004, thanks to a workshop run by Rosie Stave called “Loving What Is”, which is also the name of Byron Katie’s book. At that time, Tammy attended the workshop to be more at peace with life’s circumstances. Since then Tammy has found The Work such an effective tool in her life, she now facilitates this simple method. As she says:

“My circumstances did not change, however the way I was in those circumstances did. I found I didn’t need to do anything for that to happen, no “to do lists”, rather I do The Work and I experience a new me: more peaceful, more able, more willing.”

Tammy offers Deep Restful Bodywork for those times when silence and rest is needed to heal and restore the body and mind. As a Yoga Teacher and Zen Thai Shiatsu Therapist Tammy created her own Deep Restful Bodywork, which is a powerful method to reduce stress & trauma.

A little about Tammy

It is rare to find someone with Tammy’s diverse life experience. In the midst of a corporate career in her 20s (Westpac Bank Manager, General Manager), Tammy chose to become a Teacher. Tammy Reid has extensive experience managing challenging behaviours with 18+ years working with children with Autism for Autism Queensland and Education Queensland. Amongst her years working with children, parents and educators she also became a Yoga Teacher in 1999 and a Zen Thai Shiatsu Massage Therapist in 2011.

Tammy founded Doing What Works, in 2016to share a method, which she has been using, with success, since 2004. Now instead of giving strategies Tammy facilitates The Work of Byron Katie to lead individuals to find their own answers to life situations that create stress, so that inner peace can return. Her continued success is due to her belief that she can do anything. She holds this for everyone, regardless of their past or current circumstances and works to remind others to live the life they want.

Tammy is trained to facilitate The Work of Byron Katie and Qualified to serve on the Helpline for The Work of Byron Katie as a candidate in the The Institute for The Work, the only worldwide Certification Program for The Work of Byron Katie.  Tammy has had the privilege of doing The Work directly with Byron Katie and is a graduate of the School for The Work with Byron Katie in Ojai, California.

Tammy facilitates others with compassion and understanding. She facilitates a process that will question you to find your own answers. It is a way to find peace within you and with the world as it is. Tammy brings this simple method to anyone with an open mind, leading individuals to their own greatness, undoing what’s in the way.
